The Site Selection Group along with Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation recently accepted applications for a pilot program aimed at business/industrial parks who have not been recognized as a Certified Site in the state of Wisconsin. Bayfield County Economic Development Corporation(BCEDC) completed the very thorough application and after a very competitive process, the Bayfield County Business Park was chosen as 1 of 3 sites in the entire State of Wisconsin to be included in the pilot program.

On Thursday September 15th, members of: Site Selection Group, WEDC, BCEDC, North West Wisconsin Investment Board, Northwood Technical College, Northwest Regional Planning Commission, Norvado, Bayfield Electric, Xcel Energy, Bayfield County Planning and Zoning, and the Bayfield County Administrator all met to discuss the pilot program. Each group provided valuable input to the Site Selection Group and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s participation.

BCEDC will continue to work through the pilot program with the Site Selection Group and WEDC to increase awareness/marketability of the business park and work toward making the Bayfield County Business Park as a recognized Certified Site in the state of Wisconsin.
