2023 SPARK applications are now open

CheqYes is excited to announce applications are now open for the fifth annual Spark competition. Spark is a community-based startup pitch platform for entrepreneurs and business owners in the Chequamegon Bay. This exciting event is brought to you by CheqYes with the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at UW Superior as our presenting sponsor. Local entrepreneurs are invited to apply to pitch their business ideas. Applications are due February 3, 2023 (11:59 PM CST).

Spark will take place on April 27, 2023, from 6 – 8 PM in Ashland. Attendees can watch the competition in-person or virtually. The audience has a chance to evaluate and vote for their favorite idea alongside the judges. Each presenter will be given 5 minutes followed by 5 minutes of questions. Selected finalists will pitch their idea to judges and an audience for the chance to win the first place grand prize of $5,000 and a business start-up package and for our second place cash prize.
