Community members are invited to participate in one of two virtual public feedback sessions for the Chequamegon Bay Rural Housing Initiative. The pilot area includes Bayfield and Ashland counties, and the Tribal Nations of Bad River and Red Cliff. This session will be held on December 14, 2022, from 4-5:30 p.m.

About the Rural Workforce Housing Initiative:

The Rural Workforce Housing Initiative, a project of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), is about designing and testing potential pilot solutions to address challenges affecting the supply of housing in rural communities. The goal is to replicate and scale successful solutions across the state. Chequamegon Bay is one of three areas in Wisconsin selected to participate in the pilot initiative.

What to expect at the public feedback sessions:

This event will support the work of the Chequamegon Bay Pilot Design Team in crafting pilot solutions in partnership with WHEDA and other stakeholders. The Pilot Design Team will present their concepts and gather public input. This feedback is important to further develop the concepts into potential pilots.
